From your first filing to your tenth annual return, Thornwell keeps your company registered correctly, compliant, and moving — no jargon, no chasing, no surprises in the small print.
Everything you need to legally incorporate — nothing you don't.
Thornwell Formations & Corporate Experts is an Irish company registration agent built around one idea: setting up a company should be straightforward, transparent and quick — whether you're a first-time founder or an established group opening an Irish entity.
Beyond incorporation, we handle the paperwork that keeps a company compliant after day one: annual returns, registered office changes, director and secretary updates, beneficial ownership filings, and the wider corporate secretarial work that founders would rather not learn from scratch.
We also support the day-to-day running of your business — accounting, bookkeeping, and tax return preparation from our accountancy team, along with practical extras like business email hosting, so you're not juggling multiple providers for the basics.
Whether you're starting up or restructuring an existing business, our team guides you through incorporation, secretarial support, compliance filings and the statutory detail that keeps your company in good standing with the CRO and Revenue.

A limited company is its own legal entity, so if the business runs into debt, liability sits with the company rather than the individuals behind it. It typically also brings tax efficiency and more credibility with lenders and clients.
Most companies registered through us are ready in 3–5 working days. During busier periods at the CRO, it can occasionally stretch to around 10 working days.

No. Directors don't all need to be Irish residents, but at least one director should be resident in the EEA — or the company will need an appropriate non-resident director bond in place.

Yes — our secretarial and compliance team stays available by phone and email long after incorporation, for annual returns, filings and any changes your company needs to make.
A PPS Number is Ireland's standard personal identifier, issued to Irish residents for tax, social welfare and other state services. An IPN (Identified Person Number) is issued by the CRO instead, to verify the identity of a director or beneficial owner who doesn't hold a PPS Number — typically directors based outside Ireland. You'll only need one or the other, not both.
